Blustering, flustering, arguing, clowning
Sometimes trusting, oft with a lurch –
On this rock Christ builds his church.
Setting out with Christ to walk his way
Recognising that our faith can sway,
Devoted to grow and serve and search –
On this rock Christ builds his church.
Some keys and a rooster tell Peter’s story
Seems stars and mud lead him to glory
On all of this does our pilgrimage perch
For on this rock Christ builds his church.
