#Bloganuary Writing Prompt: Write About Something That Makes You Feel Strong
Vegemite was staple fare for me as an ankle-biter. As an aging dieter, Vegemite and cheddar on a Cruskit is my lunchtime go-to.
There is also something perverse about my taste. Visitors from dominant overseas backgrounds wince at the thought of this tasty spread, thus affording me an enjoyable moment of feeling superior as I tuck into its delicious sticky black saltiness before their startled and horrified expressions.
I would have auditioned to be one of the original Vegemite kids!
I love a good sized teaspoon of Vegemite stirred into a mug of hot milk. Yum! So soothing.

I LOVE vegamite and Marmite (I really can’t tell the difference.)
Japan has a sea weed version called “Gohan Desu Yo” that’s excellent over rice. 🤤

My UK friends find it hard to morph from Marmite to Vegemite – apparently there is a subtle difference. Gohan Desu Yo sounds inviting!

I made sure to try vegemite while in Ozzyland. I did not bring any home, so that should tell you how much I liked it. But, every place has its food quirks. Here’s one for you from New England, USA – Fluffernutter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluffernutter

Good of you to give Vegemite a go! Now Fluffernutter looks interesting. The combination intrigues me. Might be able to try a facsimile from the peanut butter and marshmallows in the pantry – perhaps on a Ruskit?

Biscuits aren’t the option for this. BREAD!!! Melt your marshmallows in the microwave with a little butter and stir well. Let it cool, it shouldn’t turn back into mallows with the extra butter. 🙂 Love to hear your opinion.
